These alloys are often used because they are strong, relatively light and have good oxidation resistance. The high temperature corrosion resistance of Ti-6Al-4V is further studied by depositing KCl deposits on its surface. Cyclic oxidation is carried out at temperatures of 600,700 and 800 ° C for 1, 2 and 4 days. The oxidation cycle was set at 6 hours for heating and 15 minutes for cooling under air atmosphere. Surface analysis was performed to determine the phenomena occurring on the surface of the spesimen after the cyclic oxidation process. XRD characterization showed that KCl and TiO2 phase was detection 600oC and 700oC. On the other hand, at 800oC only TiO2 oxide was found. SEM-EDS analysis was conducted to study the morphology of oxide layer and its element distribution. Experiment result show that the mass changes of Ti-6Al-4V specimen exposed to air atmosphere containing KCl salt reached 1.01 to 16.85 times higher than those of specimen exposed only in air atmosfer. The high-temperature corrosion mechanism due to KCl is estimated by reaction of Ti (s) + 2Cl2 (g) &#8596; TiCl4 (g). The presence of chlorine gas will speed up the oxidation process in the spesimen. <p align="justify"> <br /> text
