Description
Summary:
The concept of Internet of Things or often abbreviated IoT, is a concept that aims to expand the benefits of internet connectivity that is connected continuously. IoT-based systems have several advantages, one of which is the system user can monitor certain conditions in realtime through the sensor as long as there is a secure internet connection where the system is applied. One example of the application of an IoT-based system is the power management and monitoring system at the residence. The sensors are embedded in certain parts of the house and the results are monitored by the user through an application on the Android platform. This system can be applied in urban areas to monitor home conditions when users are busy outside the house. A server is required on the IoT system as a subsystem so that the data read by the home sensor can be accessed by the Android app from anywhere and anytime. The advantage is, the user can monitor his house in realtime and simple through android based application. Not only that, the server also works as a intermediary that serves the storage of all data, serving data requests, and perform data processing.
