Quality Management Analysis for Reduce the Defects in Trimming Process (Knit Home Industries in Binong Jati Area)

Small Business Enterprise (SME) has a big portion for economic matter. In Indonesia, Small Business Enterprise (SME) has a quite big role in economy development of the country and has been one of the government’s concerns. In Bandung, the government started to focus on developing SME since 2004. The program is revitalization to become a center for some SME’s in one area. SME’s who are involved to that revitalization for that time as much as five locations, they are Kampung Rajut Binong Jati, Jeans cihampelas, Sepatu Cibaduyut, Tahu Cibuntu, and Kaos Suci Bandung. Year after year the SME’s that has been established for a long time has very weak competitiveness. One of the effects is turnover decrease. This research, choose Kampung Rajut Binong Jati for research material for this issue. Because there still have the active koperasi in the center while another center was not active or run on they own. <br /> <br /> <br /> This research analyzing causes of the profit had been falling down. Poor of quality and no standard procedure is one of the causes of this business issue. So this research will define about quality management in knitwear, defects, and proposed of standard working hour. The methods for search the root cause are observation on the field and interview the participant and spread questionnaire in that area. <br /> <br /> <br /> Result of analyze current situation is in Kampung Rajut Jati average of the defects rate is more than 46 of finish goods in som-sontek (trimming) process. After analyze causes of high defect rate, this research found one root cause, which is there have not regulation and standard operational of working hour in knitwear quality. So, the alternative solutions based the root cause. <br />
