However, BHT in high doses is toxic and carcinogenic. Thus, a method to determine BHT level accurately is needed. In this research, a method to analyze BHT using voltammetry is developed. The working electrode was carbon paste electrode modified by electropolimerization using methylene blue as the monomer and BHT as analyte with cyclic voltammetric technique. Optimal measurement condition is gained at pH 6 with 4 electropolimerization cycle and 1:1 monomer:analyte ratio. Measurement linearity on optimal condition is gained at concentration range of 0.2 – 5.0 mM with detection limit of 0.23 mM. The reproducibility of electrode shows 6.79% RSD precentage. Accuracy test using lab made sample shows recovery value of 88.04 – 104.36%. The result does not have significant difference than the result of HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) analysis, which is used as a comparing method.<p align="justify"> <br /> text
