Summary: | Program Pelayanan Penyakit Kronis (Prolanis) is one of the government's programs through the Badan

penyelenggaraan jaminan sosial (BPJS) to suppress the incidence of DM in Indonesia. Puskesmas

Ibrahim Adjie Bandung has implemented Prolanis program for DM patient. However, not all DM

patients in Puskesmas Ibrahim Adjie are Prolanis participants. So we conducted a study to analyze the

relationship of patient participation in Prolanis with the level of knowledge, diet, physical activity and

medication adherence. The result of the research is expected to be used as a suggestion to improve

the quality of DM patient treatment at Puskesmas Ibrahim Adjie. The research was conducted by

observational method with cross sectional descriptive design which was done concurrently. Primary

data were obtained through interviews using Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), International

Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), MAQ Morisky scale 8 and a knowledge questionnaire. The

subjects of the study consisted of 24 patients Nonprolanis and 29 patients Prolanis DM. The results

showed that there were significant differences in fusting plasma glucose (FPP) of Prolanis and

Nonprolanis patients. However, there is no significant relationship between patient participation in

Prolanis with the level of knowledge, physical activity, diet and medication adherence. In addition, the

results showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of knowledge, diet and

adherence to the effectiveness of therapy but there is a significant relationship between the level of

physical activity with the effectiveness of therapy.
