Summary: | The limited waste treatment facility in Pekanbaru City causes the big quantity of waste that enter the landfill. The treatment of solid waste is one of the main costs incurred by local authorities in developing countries. Waste treatment business in addition can provide benefits and economic costs can also provide benefits and costs for the environment. Based on the results of the analysis, in 2018 solid waste produced in Pekanbaru City reached 592,961 kg/day. In the effort to reduce the solid waste, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kebersihan (DLHK) Pekanbaru City builds waste treatment facility in the form of rumah kompos, Tempat Pengolahan Sampah-Reuse Reduce Recycle (TPS-3R) and bank sampah. This facility can reduce the solid waste around 2,871.16 kg/day or 0.48% of the total quantity of solid waste. This research aims to develop scenario of waste treatment facility in Pekanbaru City with Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) approach. The scenario of the waste treatment facility is divided into three scenarios, where each scenario is calculated the component of cost and component of benefit and will be compared using the CBA. Based on the results of the analysis in scenario A, the net value is 332,913,313 IDR with a value of Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) is 1.62, while in scenario B obtained the net value is 2,110,282,201 IDR with a BCR value is 2.90 and in scenario C, the BCR value in 2025 is 2.19 with the Net Present Value (NPV) is 17,004,293,215 IDR. The net value and the positive NPV and BCR> 1 indicate that each scenario of the Pekanbaru City waste treatment facility is feasible to be operationalized and provide economic benefits. |
