The lead ions could pollute environment and give a negative effect in health when entered in human body. Na-Alginate extracted from seaweed Sargassum sp. reacted with CaCl2 to obtain a Ca-Alginate adsorbent material. Adsorbents are characterized by FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) and their morphology with SEM-EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy). The determination of adsorption optimization was performed on several parameters such as pH, adsorbent mass, initial concentration of Pb (II) ion, and contact time. The result showed that the optimum pH of adsorption was pH 4, the adsorbent mass was 0.1 gram, the optimum concentration was 200 mg.L-1, with optimum contact time 120 minutes. The adsorption process follows the Langmuir isotherm model with a maximum capacity of 147.05 mg.g-1 and the adsorption kinetics follows a pseudo second order kinetics. The results of kinetic studies show that the adsorption process is endothermic with the value of &#916;Ho = 13.466 kJ.mol-1, and the value &#916;So= 0.01945 kJ mol-1.K-1.<p align="justify"> text
