Summary: | Increasement of the number of residents in DKI Jakarta, Bekasi City, Bekasi and Karawang Regency causes an increase in drinking water demand. Based on RISPAM 2016, there is PDAM capacity deficit of 24.159 liters/second until the end of the planning year. SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I Project will be implemented due to the demand for fulfilling the improvement need of drinking water service for communities and the water service target of RPJMN 2015 – 2019 by 29%. Methodologies used in Cibeet WTP planning are observation, sampling, laboratory test, literature study, primary and secondary data analysis, and units design. The projected population in service area at the end of the planning year is 1.569.202 inhabitants. The Cibeet WTP will be built with capacity of 605 liters/second in Karawang Regency using raw water source from West Tarum Channel (STB). Treated water from The Cibeet WTP will be distributed to 2 offtakes, ie 220 liters/second to Tegal Danas offtake in Bekasi Regency and 385 liters/second to Karawang Regency offtake. Tegal Danas offtake will serve Central Cikarang and Cibitung Districts while Karawang Regency offtake will serve West Telukjambe, East Telukjambe, and Ciampel Districts. Results of water quality test at STB point 21 shows that there are 10 parameters that do not meet the water quality standard of Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 year 2010 and Government Regulation No. 82 year 2001, namely turbidity, BOD, COD, NH3-N, iron, manganese, NO2-N, organic substance as KMnO4, detergent as MBAS, and total coliform. The raw water treatment system used is conventional system because the raw water has turbidity more than 20 NTU and organic substances more than 4 mg/L. The Cibeet WTP water treatment units planned are coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, sludge treatment, and reservoir. The processing units that will be the focus of planning are filtration, disinfection, sludge treatment, and reservoir. The type of filtration unit to be built is rapid sand filtration, the disinfection unit will use calcium hypochlorite disinfectant, sludge treatment will use sludge drying bed technology, and the reservoir type that will be built is ground reservoir |
