Description
Summary:Ciplukan plants with another name cecenet or cecendet (Sunda), ceplukan (Java),

nyurnyuran (Madura), and kopok-kopokan (Bali), is wild plants that ordinary

grow in fertile soil, loose, and not inundated water. In gernerally people just think

that ciplukan plants is weed plants (disturb other plants). Whereas this plant can

used as woof and traditional medicine. Ciplukan include in genera Physalis that is

family of Solanaceae, chemical content is compound that have structure C28-

steroidal lakton. Ciplukan plants has 120 spesies that have bag close it’s friut and

expands as the fruit grows. One of ciplukan species that researched is Physalis

minima Linn.

Dry herb powder Physalis minima Linn about 1,5 kg from UPT Materia Medica

Batu – Malang. Isolation of secondary metabolite is extraction of herb Physalis

minima Linn use methanol for 3 x 24 hours and replace the solvent every 24

hours. Separation and purification of secondary metabolite through some

chromatography techniques, that is vacuum liquid chromatography, gravity

column chromatography, and radial chromatography. Vacuum liquid

chromatography done use silica gel Merck 60 GF254 as stationary phase and

solvent n-heksana : ethyl asetate : methanol gradually as mobile phase so obtained

26 fraction that checked use TLC under UV rays λ254 and stain removal reagent.

Gravity column chromatography continued from the fractination vacuum liquid

chromatography using silica gel Merck 60 size 35-70 mesh as stationary phase

and use solvent n-heksana : ethyl asetate as mobile phase. Radial chromatography

done as purification of the results from gravity column chromatography.

Caracterization of pure compounds of isolation conducted based on melting point

data, FTIR, NMR 1D (1H-NMR use CDCL3 solvent which operate at frequencies

500 MHz and 13C-NMR use CDCL3 solvent which operate at frequencies 125

MHz) and NMR 2D (HSQC and HMBC). From herb extract of methanol Physalis

minima Linn has successfully isolated the pure derivative compounds steroidal

lactone, that are nicandrenone and nicandrenone-2 this compounds have never

been found before in Physalis minima Linn (Solanaceae) as well as in other

Physalis genera. Both of these compounds are found on Nicandra physalodes

(Solanaceae) from Brazil.
