To achieve these objectives, KSC management tries to apply inventory management system according to the applicable standard. In the processing of drug data September 2015-August 2016 with EOQ model obtained excess stock valued at IDR 72,522,052.

Based on the business analysis of the situation found the undisciplined staff of drug depot units in the calculation of demand, data input and drug storage. KSC does not yet have an information technology system and standard drug demand calculation. The cause of the problem is then poured into the Current Reality Tree (CRT). Based on CRTs, the root of the problem for excess stock is undisciplined employees, IT systems have not been met, the intending to fulfill all demand and standard methods in the calculation of demand has not been met. This illustrates the poor inventory management system. This study aims to find a solution to solve the problem.

This study uses the "Value-Focused Thinking (VFT)" method to identify alternative solutions and "Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)" to select the best alternative solution. The result of the VFT shows from the process side there are 2 alternatives that are applying EOQ model or POQ model. From the technology side there are 2 alternatives that is developing their own IT system or buy from vendors. In terms of human resources there are 2 alternatives of training existing employees or recruiting trained employees. The result of the process is applying EOQ model. The result of the research using AHP method for technology is 0.178772 to "develop its own IT system and 0.821237 to buy program from vendor. The result of the research using AHP method for human resource is 0.772539 to train existing employees and 0.227461 to recruit trained staff. Thus from the technology side, buying IT systems from vendors is the choice. In terms of human resources training existing employees to be an option.

This study recommends three types of solutions, namely the process of procurement of drugs using the EOQ model, the technology suggests the use of information technology systems purchased from vendors and on the human resource suggests training of inventory management systems for existing employees. The cost required to build an IT system is around IDR 50 million.

text
