Batik is one of Indonesian traditional heritages which is renowned in the world. As the time goes by, batik has several types and variations, like the motive and the dyes that the batik uses. One of the results in batik development is Modern Batik. Modern Batik are a batik which is not tied with some values or a sect. Modern batik is created by artists as a new media for expressing their creativity. Some locals have its own batik art as their identity, e.g. batik Adipurwo from Purworejo District in Central Java. <br /> <br /> Batik Adipurwo has unique decorative variety, which is the traditional food and culture in Purworejo District itself. The examples of the decorative variety in the batik are mangosteen, Ettawa goat, clorot, Ndolalak dance, bedug of Pendowo, and lompong cake. <br /> <br /> This research is used for developing new decorative variety of batik Adipurwo based on natural wealthy and Purworejo culture by using local natural dyes, which is expected to increase the value of batik Adipurwo.
