Zeolites particle are known to have better mechanical properties, thermal and chemical stability than organic materials, and have molecular sieve and ion exchange properties that have the potential to be used as desalination membranes. Desalination membranes that use zeolites are made by surface coating of geopolymer support with zeolite particle. Geopolymer support made by a macro porous ceramic mixture is used as a buffer so the layer of the zeolite particle is not broken when hit by a pressure. The disadvantage of this membrane is the need to replace geopolymer support when the layer is damage or fouling. In order not to replace the support, this work try to develop desalination membranes with flat sheet configuration and do not to rely on coatings. In this research, sythesis of NaA nanozeolite particles with Linde Type A structure is done with composition 4Na2O : 0,3Al2O3 : SiO2 : 200H2O in the form of white powder. The nanozeolite particle size that has been successfully synthesized has a particle size ranging from 140-200 nm which tends to agglomerate and has a shape approaching to cubic form. Membranes wih flat sheet configurations are obtained from nanocellulose-based polymer membranes which have high flexibilities properties, in this study the source of nanocellulose comes from banana peels. The membrane was done by pulverizing dry nanocellulose and mixing it with nanozeolite particles, then giving a 2% of chitosan solution as a binder of nanozeolite particles and nanocellulose. Molding was done on petri dish with diamter of 120 mm and obtained the thickness of the flat sheet membrane ranging from 0,13-0,15 nm.<p align="justify"> text
