Summary: | In 2017 Ir. Gunarso created a CNC Router machine. The CNC Router Machine made will be used for wooden workpieces. The CNC Router is made using Arduino as a controller and standard components for the construction of the machine. The CNC Router made using standard components does not fulfil the expectations because there is a discrepancy in the quality of the product produced and the design. There are several problems on the CNC Router machine that has been created. The problems found are the mismatch of the translational motion of the machine between the input and output, the mismatch of the maximum travel distance between the machine and the program, the mismatch of the machine coordinates with the program, the inability to adjust the spindle rotational speed, and the geometric errors of the machine. The mismatch of the input and output translational motion on the machine is solved by adjusting the microstepping in the motor driver. The maximum travel mismatch between the program and the machine is completed by testing the machine and replacing the parameters in the program. Incompatibility of machine and program coordinates is improved by adding limit switches. Spindle rotational speed adjustment is done by adding a driver for the spindle. The geometry error of the machine is repaired by doing the compensation process. |
