In general, the population tends to increase. Accurate information about the population is necessary for policy planning. One of the efforts that has been done is to make the population distribution in the grid. In population distribution modeling, the weight of the parameters has an important role to determine the population in the grid. Therefore, it is necessary to validate the weighting for the population distribution modeling in the multiscale grid system. Weighting validation is performed to recognize the accuracy of the population distribution model and the factors that influence it. Validation was conducted on the population distribution in 105 subdistricts using secondary data. The result showed that the RMSE value of population distribution is 35.469. However, if the subdistrict sample is divided into two groups, the city have an RMSE value bigger than the district. It is influenced by the characteristics of land cover, road, and data. <p align="justify"> text |
