Description
Summary:This final project describes the methods used in seismic data migration process. The method is Kirchhoff migration. This method can be used to describe the subsurface structure in areas with complex geological structure and has large lateral velocity variations. Use of the model at the right speed is the key to success in imaging the subsurface clearly in Kirchhoff migration methods. For that, first we need to learn acoustic waves to obtain information from within the earth. In this imaging process, we need a source of waves and wave receivers are installed with the settings as needed.
