Summary:<p align="justify">Indonesian student literacy scores for PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) in math at 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2012 are respectively 367, 360, 391, 371, and 375. Based on these data, with an average score of international literacy is 500, it can be concluded that the results of students' mathematical literacy Indonesia significantly below the international average. In other words, the ability of Indonesian students to identify, understand, and use the basics of mathematics in everyday life is still far below the international standards. <br /> <br /> Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is one of good solution to the problem. Therefore, preparation of mathematics content for junior high school students grade 7 semester 1 using realistic mathematics education approach is expected to be one of the solutions to these problems. Explanation of the mathematical content begins with an example or illustration related to everyday life <br /> <br /> and material explanation packed with the principle of rediscovery. In addition, the problem presented in the teaching materials are mostly a matter that relates <br /> <br /> everyday life. Design of presentation material is also made attractive in order to increase the spirit of the students in learning. Furthermore, in order to shape the <br /> <br /> character of the student, the math teaching materials made with good language, polite, and educate. In addition, the mathematics teaching materials are also organized so that students can get closer to Allah SWT.<p align="justify">
