Summary:From stem bark of Macaranga denticulata Muell Arg. were isolated scopoletin, acid 3-O-acetyl-taraxer-14-en-21-oat, and R-sitosterol. Scopoletin and acid 3-O-acethyl-taraxer-14-en-21-oat were isolated from ethyl acetate extract and p-sitosterol from hexane fraction. The structures of these compounds were determined based on UV and IR spectroscopic analysis as well as by comparison with reference compounds. This discovery is very important to give information about the composition of secondary metabolites in Macaranga denticulata Muell Arg. plants.
