The purpose of this final project is to design a suitable sewerage and treatment facility for low income community especially in Cikapundung Riverbank Area so that the research object can access proper sanitation facilities, with the efficacy up to 95% but also is accessible environmentally and financially. From the comparison of existing condition and requirement of wastewater effluent standards in accordance to Permen LHK No. 68 Tahun 2016, it is acquired that Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) as the most suitable alternative with the required criteria. The UASB is designed in the research area on Pelesiran whose communal septic tank is no longer functioned properly due to over-capacity from lack of maintenance and bad management. Influent quality is obtained from septic tank inlet near Sungai Cikapundung. The average wastewater flow to be treated is 4,5 L/s. Wastewater will be streamed through 150-200 mm concrete pipes. Wastewater treatment scheme is: wastewater will be flowed through barscreen for removing large particles; then pass through the modified equalization basin with the added grit-chamber’s function to equalize the flow rate and remove the sand; then passed through UASB for BOD & COD removal with final effluent discharged to Sungai Cikapundung and methane produced to be utilized for community; lastly, the sludged is flowed through Sludge Drying Bed to be dewatered and its final product to be utilized as fertilizer that can be sold to the nearest agricultural business. The width of barscreen is 1,91 m with a total space width is 1,5 m; 31 pieces of vertical steel bar, and channel depth of 1 m. The dimension of equalization basin is 7×3,5×1 m3. The dimension of UASB is 6×3×8,5 m3; with the number of methane gas produced is 118,95 MJ/day that can be used for at leat 9-15 households. The dimension of SDB is 20×8×1,4 m3 with a total of 5 units needed. Total expenditure for this project planning is Rp. 583.638.792,00. text |
