Summary:The adoption of innovative technology within a business has been acknowledged <br /> <br /> as a noteworthy subject since it becomes a supporting tool for companies to cope <br /> <br /> with various business problems. Presently, technology innovation has encompassed <br /> <br /> in almost all sectors, including financial sector which is known as financial <br /> <br /> technology (Fintech). The particular technology refers to the intersection between <br /> <br /> financial service and technology where it helps business entities to solve their <br /> <br /> financial constraints. The implementation itself has been utilized in all level of <br /> <br /> businesses, ranging from micro-sized enterprises to corporates. One form of fintech <br /> <br /> which commonly used by enterprises to deliver financial issues is point of sales <br /> <br /> (POS) system. <br /> <br /> On the other hand, the number of micro small medium enterprise (MSME) in <br /> <br /> Indonesia is 59,2 million which contributes to 57% of the total Gross Domestic <br /> <br /> Product (GDP) in 2018. This substantial number of firms represent 90% of business <br /> <br /> entities and employ 107 million workforces by 2012. However, despite this vast <br /> <br /> amount of business firms, the number of failing MSME is also increasing either in <br /> <br /> which financial management constraints presumed as one of the cause. <br /> <br /> This research focuses on the role of POS system in MSME industry and examines <br /> <br /> its purpose in addressing particular constraints. Through this research, researcher <br /> <br /> tries to determine the implementing factors of POS system among MSMEs in West <br /> <br /> Java and also its organization levels. A total of 150 respondents of MSME <br /> <br /> performer from various industry were collected in this research with the <br /> <br /> questionnaire as its research instrument. This study uses a modified Technology <br /> <br /> Acceptance Model 2 (TAM) to hypothesize the affecting factors and Binary <br /> <br /> Logistic Regression for methodology. The result shows that Image and Perceived <br /> <br /> Usefulness influence the adoption while Subjective Norms and Perceived Ease of <br /> <br /> Use do not.
