KAJIAN PERKIRAAN KEBUTUHAN PENGEMBANGAN FASILITAS PELABUHAN TANJUNG PANDAN UNTUK MENDUKUNG EKSPOR CPO DI KABUPATEN BELITUNG

Belitung regent is a future region. This region has manifold potential that pertinent primary commodity such as farming, plantation, forestry and fishery, which has not fully explored optimally. At moment today, plantation and fishery become a new main commodity to Belitung regent, especially plantation sector, which has some growing commodities such as pepper, palm, cocoa, and coffee beans. Palm plantation sub sector and its processing industry to produce Crude Palm Oil/CPO will become the future\'s Belitung regent main export commodity. At today, palm trees spread all over Belitung island. At year 2000, there are 46.548 hectare palm plantation with 399.479 ton production of CPO, while first year posterior the production increased almost twice to 604.035 ton and still growing at to future. Belitung regent will become a new producer that will fulfill CPO need inside and outside country. This CPO export will be done through Tanjung Pandan Port. Therefore, there most be a study to estimate the requirement of Tanjung Pandan Port\'s facility to support CPO commodity movement in the future. The estimation will be done until year 2010. This matter is adjusting with CPO data per capacity. Through 4 scenarios that will be done, the CPO export volume prediction that will done through Tanjung Pandan Port at 2010 will be known. Based on prediction, there will be estimation of Tanjung Pandan Port\'s facility requirement to support CPO export in Belitung regent in the future. Based on the calculation to the 4 scenarios, it is known that Tanjung Pandan Ports need 2 CPO saved tank (scenario 1 and 3), 3 CPO saved tank (scenario 3) and 4 CPO saved tank (scenario 4) until year 2010. while for prediction of quay pipe requirement, it is known that to reach 60% BOR value, the length of the quay must be extended 20 meters (scenario 1), 50 meters (scenario 2), 26 meters (scenario 3) and 61 meters (scenario 4)
