Geologically, the research area is located in onshore NorthWest Java (ONWJ) Basin. This basin consists of highs and lows. The research area is located in Ciputat Low and Kepuh Low, in the western part of ONWJ basin, more precisely in Ciputat Sub-basin and Pasir Putih Sub-basin. <br /> <br /> Geochemical evaluation was conducted on eleven wells to determine the quantity, quality, and maturity of organic material in each formation. Biomarker analysis of rocks was conducted on six wells and biomarker analysis of oil on two wells to determine the organic material origin, depositional environment, and the correlation between samples. One-dimensional modelling of TH-1 well was conducted to represent geological history and maturity history based on vitrinite reflectance (Ro) value. Geochemical analysis shows that Jatibarang Formation and Lower Cibulakan Member are the most potential formation, and Upper Cibulakan Member, if it has reached the maturity. Geochemical analysis with n-alkane, sterane, and terpane biomarkers shows that oil sample is from one family, with terrestrial depositional environment. This shows positive correlation between oil and source rock from Jatibarang Formation and Lower Cibulakan Member. <br /> <br /> One-dimensional modelling shows three phases of formation of the basin namely early syn-rift (40-33 million years ago), last syn-rift (24.93-13.13 million years ago), and post-rift (13.13 million years ago-now). At the base of Jatibarang Formation, early mature occurred in the Early Miocene (18 million years ago) and peak mature occurred in the Mid Miocene (16 million years ago). Recently, early mature occurred at a depth of 2,400 meters, and peak mature at a depth of 3,000 meters.<p align="justify"> text |
