| Summary: | Bandung region is an area that has a rapid development in population growth and also modernization. This has an impact on the improvement of development that is tailored to the needs of the community. The amount of land not comparable with the development resulted in the change of land cover. Changes in land cover in the area of Bandung tend to convert the vegetation area into a wake area with a lack of control efforts. One of the negative impacts of uncontrolled land change is global climate change. Therefore information is needed on the pattern of land cover change to be used as the parameters of policy determination in an effort to control land cover in the area of Bandung. With spatial analysis based on Geographic Information System (GIS), information on land cover change patterns can be identified. In this research, spatial analysis is done by using comparison method on land cover data in Bandung area in the period of 2006, 2011, and 2014. The result will identify the pattern of land cover change, the possibility of land cover change, and the origin class of a land cover in Bandung area. |
