with the development of numbers of citizen in Jakarta, Malls have been built to be a complimentary <br />
<br />
facility for developed commercial and residential area. The typologies of the shopping center itself also <br />
<br />
become more varies. Lifestyle mall is one of this new type of shopping center typology, which offers <br />
<br />
shopping facilities following the lifestyle needs of the visitors. This lifestyle mall is located in Kelapa <br />
<br />
Gading, North Jakarta, integrated with masterplan design by Agung Sedayu Group, Sedayu City, which <br />
<br />
also include commercial buildings such as shops residential facilities such as apartment and housing. <br />
<br />
The main issues of this design are building image, commercial value, and building theme. To answer <br />
<br />
the concept and goals, this building adapt an Urban Terrace as its concept. This concept implemented <br />
<br />
using analogical approach, which is taking a form of terrace and leaf to create a distinctive and iconic <br />
<br />
image. Subsequently, the building program is adapted into the mass and the theme is then the <br />
<br />
completed this building image. The output of the design is consist of three main mass each consist <br />
<br />
retails and different number of floor levels with the 20.000 m2 total area. This terrace shaped building <br />
<br />
ables the visitors to seeing other visitor’s activities, which result an increase and more real time social <br />
<br />
activities between building users. |
