Each sub-district has 6.626 hectares and 8.057 hectares area with population number of 23.022 and 29.630 in 2016. Water demand in two sub-districts are currently served by rural piping network and urban piping network under the responsibility of PDAM Tirta Medal. Raw water sorce used to serve Tomo and Ujungjaya Sub-district is Cioray Gede Water Spring with 37 LPS production capacity. However, that amount of capacity is insufficient to fulfil the water demand in both sub-districts, so it is necessary to find a new raw water source. Tomo WTP is planned to use raw water from Cimanuk River which has 1 m3/s capacity. It is also planned to operate for 20 years (2020-2040). The water demand in the end of that period is projected to be 0,0767 m3/s. Tomo WTP will be located in Tomo Sub-district, Sumedang Regency. Its entire design will be divided into primary design and development of primary design. The primary design consists of intake buiding, transmission system, pre-sedimentation unit, coagulation unit, and flocculation unit designs, while its development consists of filtration unit, disinfection, and reservoir designs. <br /> <br /> text
