Summary: | One form of the solar activity is solar wind. Solar wind is a very hot radiant particles emanating from the sun's corona. The solar wind is radiating in all directions at an average speed of 400 km/s. Beside carrying particles, the solar wind also carries magnetic clouds. This currents with high and low speed will interact with Earth's magnetic field and can lead to storms in the Earth's magnetosphere. Sunspots is one form and evidence of magnetic activity on the sun. Therefore sunspots appear more often in groups with members who have opposite poles. This is because of the magnetic characteristic which there is no single pole. The number of sunspots can be used as an indicator of the solar cycle. Solar cycles occur within an average period of 11 years, with the number of sunspots as an indicator. The number of sunspots is also used as an indicator of the magnetic cycle of the Sun. By observing the activity of the Sun, we can see the structure and interaction of the magnetic field that occurs in the sun. It shows that the understanding of the physical meaning of the Sun can not be separated from the interaction of magnetic fields and non-magnetic in the sun. Comparison of the variability of the solar wind to the sunspot cycle is expected to show the relationship between the variability of the solar wind, the electric field, and the interplanetary magnetic field, with the sunspot cycle. |
