All areas bypassed by the wind, but not all areas have the potential to be a laying of a wind turbine. Therefore, it is necessary to study the optimization of wind turbine placement. In this study, analysis of climatological wind speed and the percentage of wind speed exceeds 3.5 m / s are used to determine the potential areas for laying of wind turbines in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. Furthermore, the simulation models windstation the potential area that has obtained previously the domain. Simulation models windstation useful to look at the consistency of an area that has high wind speeds and then it will be the optimal area for the laying of the wind turbine. After conducting an analysis in terms of meteorological and simulation windstation, there are four potential areas for wind turbine placement. Of the four potential areas of the southern part of the island of Rote among the most optimal to be used where the laying of wind turbines with an average wind speed of 6.7 m / s.<p align="justify"> text |
