Overflow often happens on that kind of places with few reservoirs they should have. Therefore people in Kalimantan create axial pump from boat impeller so they could exhaust the flood with the mass flow as high as possible. The reason they buy boat impeller is because this impeller has been a mass product so the cost is relative low and easy to find. <br /> <br /> Preference on this type of impeller can be inefficient because this impeller is not designed for pump. Impeller designed for pump may give better performance but the cost is far more expensive than boat impeller in the market. Therefore this final project will discuss boat impeller performance as axial pump by using Computational Fluid Dynamics as software based on numerical method solution to find characteristic curve that describes head, power, and efficiency to fluid mass flow rate on certain rotational speeds of pump. From this information, we could obtain pump performance using boat impeller and range of pump operation that can give high mass flow and efficiency. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Keywords : Axial Pump, Boat Impeller, CFD, Characteristic Curve <br /> text
