Description
Summary:
Bandung city is the center of economic, governmental, social and cultural activities from the surrounding areas. The number of motorized vehicles has increased from 2014-2016, amounting to 41.22% (BPS, 2015-2017). Then, the total capacity of public transport in metropolitan Bandung is only used 1/3 of 1.87 million passengers / year. (BUMP, 2016). People become more dependent on private vehicles as a means of daily movement. TOD provides opportunities for increasing transit accessibility and mixing various types of land use. TOD offers significant opportunities to reduce the number of parking lots under conventional parking requirements for retail, office and housing use, by encouraging transit use. According to ATR / BPN Ministerial Regulation Number 16 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for the Development of Transit Oriented Areas, shared parking is a recommended way to be implemented in the TOD area. However, there is no study regarding the process of providing shared parking which consists of the process of selecting the location and calculation, so that research needs to be done on the location selection process and the calculation of parking needs in the TOD area of the LRT Corridor 3. Therefore, the authors conduct research aimed at identifying locations that have the potential to be applied to shared parking and estimated parking requirements in the TOD Zone Corridor LRT Line 3. Data collection is carried out through literature studies, formal documents, popular times and street view Google maps, observation, and parking counting. The process of data analysis is done by content analysis, spatial data analysis, and scoring. As for this study produces locations that have the potential to be applied to shared parking in the TOD Zone Line LRT Corridor 3 is the Region of the Center for Trade and Services of Braga, Veteran, Sunda and Pelajar Pejuang 45 which has high potential. Meanwhile, 4 other regions have the moderate potential. The most potential area is the Pelajar Pejuang 45 Trade and Service Center with 87.5%. Estimated parking requirements for shared parking in the Pelajar Pejuang 45 area are 518 SRP cars from the availability of existing parking totaling 1339 SRP cars. This shows that the availability of parking at this time is excessive which causes a not-optimal use of parking lots.
