Water is very important for living creatures. Humans need clean water to meet their needs and survival. Water that can be utilized by humans should pay attention to the quality, quantity, and continuity so that required a water treatment and drinking water installation. Increasing the population of Bogor Regency causes the need for clean water to be increased. This increase if not offset by the addition of clean water production then the fulfillment of clean water to the community will decline. One solution to this problem is the uprating of the water treatment plant which has the raw water source from the river. In planning uprating should be reviewed in advance of the factors behind the uprating of IPA 1 Cibinong. After that, an analysis of the mechanism of implementation of uprating filtration unit, disinfection and reservoir of IPA 1 Cibinong was conducted. This research was conducted by using primary data and secondary data which then analyzed and evaluated to produce design alternative. It is planned that the addition of capacity will be done on IPA 1 Cibinong to 600 L / s according to the calculation of study of water requirement. Based on the results of the evaluation of the quality of water production has met the quality standards, while the design criteria on the filtration unit has not met the design criteria so that the development of IPA 1 Cibinong more focused on the design parameters. The chosen alternative in IPA 1 Cibinong development planning is by adding units and design modifications. The selection is based on an increase in the percentage of services, land requirements, and costs for project development. Planning of IPA 1 Cibinong capacity increase to 600 L / s is done by adding 4 filters and changing the filter media specification to match the design criteria. Meanwhile, the disinfection and reservoir units need not be additional units because the existing condition is still sufficient. The cost required for uprating the filtration, disinfection and reservoir units is Rp. 2,110,000,000.
