Most of mining activities in Indonesia implemented open pit methods and stability of the stope in open pit methods is one thing that has to be monitored. Blasting activities, vibration from equipments, and earthquakes will greatly affect the stability of the stope and the result will be slope failure. One type of slope failures is toppling failure. One of a way to analyze slope stability is to do a physical modeling in the laboratory. One of physical modeling used to represent the variables that occured in the field is centrifugal test. There are three physical models of slope that will be tested using centrifuge test: overall slope model, open pit slope model, and open cast slope model. Every slope model has angle of 56.3?, horizontal joint spacing fixed at 12 cm, and vertical joint spacing fixed at 6 cm. Those models will be given centrifugal acceleration of 0g, 0.26g, 0.67g, and 1.5g for 15 seconds. The result of the test shows the model of the slope affects the slope stability and the volume of failures. The most stable of the three is open pit model with lowest volume of failure, while the less stable is the open cast model with highest volume of failure, and the overall slope model stability and volume of failure falls between the two. text
