Clean water supply is one of an important aspect to be considered for planning this new campus because the area has not be provided by PDAM pipeline system and also the capacity of PDAM itself is already limited for Arjawinangun zone. ITB Cirebon Water Treatment Plant design based on the quality of Winong river, domestic needs (dormitory and lecturer apartment), and non-domestic needs (academic activities, commercial, and other facilities) according to the campus capacity in 2035. The quality of Winong river has not met the standard of drinking water source quality in PP 82 2001 in phenolic compound, BOD, COD, and TSS while according to the standard of drinking water Permenkes 492 2001, the water is not qualified in turbidity criteria and coliform. The designed flow rate for treatment plant is 54,66 LPS with the selected treatment systems according to those parameters are bar screen, in-line static mixer, baffle channel vertical flow, rectangular basin with tube settler, conventional rapid sand filter, and disinfection basin. text |
