Menembus Rikuh Memikat Kerinduan is the work of manifesting the personal <br /> <br /> reflection of the author in seeing and experiencing various kinds of relationships that <br /> <br /> occur in a family. Intimate closeness in family relationships is a form of relationship <br /> <br /> that is often found, which is usually practiced as a form of expression of the author's <br /> <br /> love with family members. Often manifested through a type of body language <br /> <br /> communication such as hugging, holding hands, or showing attention. This <br /> <br /> expression of love makes the family members' relationship patterns feel more <br /> <br /> emotionally bound. <br /> <br /> Based on the basis of this experience, in the idea of this work the author makes an <br /> <br /> installation work consisting several visual components. In one of them, the writer <br /> <br /> performs activities with both parents which are documented through photos and <br /> <br /> videos. Together with the mother, the author asked her to bathe him using a bucket <br /> <br /> that had been used since their childhood, while with the father, he asked to hold him <br /> <br /> with a side cloth. Furthermore, the author uses macro photography techniques to <br /> <br /> document cracked wall as well as some fungi found in the author's house as a <br /> <br /> metaphor of tenuous relationship. The choice of space to do the performance <br /> <br /> activities as well as the object that will shown is a specific selection that has <br /> <br /> historical value and meaning that the author wants to convey as a whole visual <br /> <br /> idea.Based on the foundation of experience, in this work the author tries to dilute the <br /> <br /> boundaries of social conventions by negotiating the old values that author have <br /> <br /> experienced as children. In this work, the author tries to break the awkwardness and <br /> <br /> embarassment of the two authors' parents who have been feeling. Through one <br /> <br /> moment of performance which documented through photos and video are expected to <br /> <br /> illustrate what are the author wants in a family relationship. The return to being a <br /> <br /> family full of emotional ties without distance and alienation. <br /> <br /> Both of these performance activities are carried out as an attempt by the author to <br /> <br /> break the awkward feelings to both parents which have been felt and become <br /> <br /> cathartic activities, namely activities carried out as a way to improve the author's <br /> <br /> relationship with parents and return to being a family full of emotional ties without <br /> <br /> the presence of distance and acidity.
