In the modern software engineering world, microservice architecture have become a trend as an architecture that was able to give the solution to a complex and high performing system. In this paper, we will compare the aspect of the system based on the <br /> <br /> traditional monolithic system and microservice based architecture with the focus on the scalability and performance of the system. Etobee routing system will be build both on monolithic architecture and microservice architecture. Both system is built in a way that the systems could be fairly compared. Microservice based system is built and deployed with the best practice studied in this paper. Both system is tested to measure the scalability and the performance of the system in <br /> <br /> various computing resource configuration. Based on the test result, the microservice system got a lower throughput and performance compared to the monolithic system on low computing resource configuration, but gain a significantly better throughput and performance in large computing resource configuration. Microservice based system maintain high efficiency in many core <br /> <br /> configuration, thus microservice is a scalable solution for large system.<p align="justify"> text |
