This research aims to compare the growth and biomass parameters of rice plants grown in soil media, bio-char bio-fertilizers and intermittent irrigation with planted in soil media, NPK fertilizer, and inundated irrigation. This research was conducted experimentally with 2 treatments consisting of 40 polybags for each treatment. The first treatment (P1) is a treatment with soil media which is added NPK fertilizer at 14, 35, and 50 DAP (days after planting) using flooding irrigation system while the second treatment (P2) is a treatment with soil media: biochar: manure with a ratio of 2: 1: 1and it is added bokashi fertilizer liquid every week. P1 watering is conducted by adding water every day until it reaches the inundated condition and P2 watering is conducted by adding water until it reaches the maximum humidity. The variables observed in this research are air temperature, air humidity, wind speed, sunlight intensity, pH of planting media, plant age, plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of panicles, forage, roots, and grain biomass, estimated productivity tons/ ha, and the content of N, P, K, and C / N ratios in the soil. Based on growth parameters including plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, and number of panicles P2 treatment was higher than P1 treatment. Besides that, P2 forage and grain biomass was higher than P1, but P1 root biomass was higher than P2. Percentage of un-hulled rice grains P2 was lower than P1 because of an attack of sheath rot. Estimation DMG (dry milled grain) for P2 paddy plants reached 4.4 tons / ha / harvest is higher than P1 treatment reached 3.7 tons / ha / harvest.<p align="justify"> text
