Description
Summary:There are multiple aspects of information readers want from multi-event sports news report. The difference in reader needs leads to the limited amount of information obtainable from news. These information are also spread across multiple news report, thus requiring a method of collecting sports news into one and showing them in a way that readers can easily understand. One of the method is to visualize every aspects of information that readers want. These aspects are then used as different viewpoints for the visualization.

Multi-event sports news visualization can be developed in three viewpoints: attending countries, participating athletes, and organized sports. Every viewpoints will have unique components and models of visualization to accomodate reader needs for their respective viewpoints. The visualization also delivers detailed information about each competition, which users can access by interacting with the application, shown in graphs and tooltips.

The visualization illustrates information as time went by. The result of the visualization can successfully show the information of sports news, as intended. However, there are a few errors in the visualization that hinders users from fluently using the application, such as the usage of non-standard symbols and lines. These errors result in some of the information within the visualization to not be delivered as intended in the first time, therefore requiring additional development and refinement.
