Description
Summary:RADAR (Radio Detecting And Ranging) is a technology that is often used today. One of the most commonly used radar techniques is tracking radar. Tracking radar is applied to monitoring rockets or drones. In this Final Project used FMCW radar signal (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) because it can monitor drones from a long distance without requiring large transmit power. FMCW radar has several advantages, such as being able to detect well for targets at long distance or at very close range and can detect still objects as well as moving objects. The information that can be obtained can be the distance and the target speed. In this final project, the design and implementation of FMCW receiver tracking radar in the future S-Band frequency range can be developed for the tracking needs of various objects and imaging. The radar system is implemented based on a block diagram designed based on the literature obtained. Then performed a system test consisting of sending FMCW chirp signal, receiving the reflected signal object detected, and can perform tracking of the object. In this final project, divided into several sections. In this final project will be presented receiver system from tracking this FMCW radar. The data acquisition process to get beat frequency is done using USRP myRIO with LabVIEW software. FMCW radar tracking system is designed to transmit chirp signals on FMCW with a working frequency range of 2.925 GHz to 2.975 GHz. Transmission power generated by this system is low about 23.67 dBm. FMCW radar tracking system is able to detect single objects well at a distance of 1 to 18.4 meters. The data acquisition process on receiver system using LabVIEW through USRP myRIO. This signal processing process can provide target range values from the radar system and can display it in the form of conventional radar.
