PENURUNAN TACT TIME PADA PROSES PRODUKSI MD - ROM DI PT X BEKASI

PT. X is the electrical industry in Bekasi which is now operates eighth Main Line. Main Line E is DVD production. In Year 2003, DVD-Line production is always below the target, that makes efficiency low, working over time, and delayed delivery schedule. The productivity of DVD-ROM production in main Line from September 03 until February 04 is only 68% and the take time is 6.4 sec/set. Daily production per hour in Main Line E is .559 set/hour in average. In this mission statement for our experiment are decreasing Tact Time of Main Line E by 25% from 6.4 sec to 4.8 sec, increase daily production in Main Line E from 559 set/hour to 750 set/hour, PPM reduction from 1300 ppm to 3.4 ppm. The observation result found that nine aspects or nine factors in process production DVD increasing the probability of making higher tact time in the process. Summary of analyze that vital few Xs are address test location, test disc max speed, copying speed, CD writer type, interface cable, type RAM size, Processor type, Motherboard type and use/no use buffer card. This study evaluated and analyze the identified nine factor as vital few Xs aspects and based on the analyze result, propose for reducing tact time to improve productivity and directly reduce overtime cost. Make delivery on time for customer satisfaction. Process innovation result are improve productivity by reducing tact time
