This underlines the necessity for <br /> <br /> further exploration to understand the phenomenon specifically in Indonesia organization <br /> <br /> settings which is considered new in implementing this concept. Build upon the highlight <br /> <br /> important of the issue, the aims of this research wants to: (1) explore the current practice of <br /> <br /> this phenomenon in Indonesia, (2) provide relevant conceptual model to comprehend <br /> <br /> corporate universities phenomena in Indonesia, and (3) Explore the major issues and <br /> <br /> challenges faced by corporate universities in Indonesia. <br /> <br /> Exploratory research was conducted to achieve its research objectives with seven corporate <br /> <br /> universities are chosen for this research. Thematic analysis with coding technique, document <br /> <br /> analysis, and observation are used to collect and analyze the data. The result shows corporate <br /> <br /> universities profiled here have become more than dressed up training center or learning <br /> <br /> center with a new name and in practice vary from company to company as they are adapted <br /> <br /> to each organisation’s specific needs and goals. The practices of corporate university are <br /> <br /> defined across four profile areas: the organizational profile, learning infrastructure and <br /> <br /> operation profile, learning solution management profile, and network and partnership profile. <br /> <br /> Four major issues and challenges appeared which are technology-based learning and <br /> <br /> operation, inter-organization collaboration and partnership, learning solution continuous <br /> <br /> innovation, and on-going communication throughout the organization and beyond. Finally, <br /> <br /> researcher respectively offer a conceptual model in which researcher identifies certain <br /> <br /> contextual evidence on the practice of corporate universities in Indonesia. text |
