Therefore, the procurement of parking facilities for this museum becomes a must to accommodate visitors who bring vehicles to the museum. The process of planning the parking of Museum of Contemporary Art began with determining mode of transportation used by visitors to the museum. Furthermore, set of Parking Space Unit (SRP) in accordance with literature studies conducted. The next step was the determination of parking control, which included parking controller and parking information system. The designated parking controller is a ticketing system with an automatic ticketing machine, while the parking information system used in the form of electronic board using LED system connected to electronic devices. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The method of determining the need for parking space was done in several ways, one of which was doing parking duration survey at Bandung Museum Geology as data source for designing Museum of Contemporary Art, and the results were compared with other options from literature study results, thus determining the optimum number of SRP needs of the vehicles. The design of the parking lot was divided into two, namely the design of the parking basement and car park, wherein the car park, flexible pavement was designed. The final step in planning the parking lot was conducting queue analysis to avoid excessive queuing and congestion on the parking lot. Queuing analysis was done by Single-Channel Queuing Model, where queuing modeling was made with one parking counter in the queue. The results of the basement and car park design were modeled in Autocad and combined with the architectural design of the museum. text |
