Flood disaster is one of the disasters that often occur in the area of West Java, especially in the area of Bandung. Currently, many people consider this flooding event to be commonplace. According to Law no 7 of 2004 there will be a tsunami disaster for affected communities. This water-induced disaster is a water force that results in a loss A power that causes losses can we turn into something power that provides benefits, so that the need for disaster mitigation based on Law no 24 of 2007. A series of efforts to reduce this disaster is in other government legislation, such as land use transition existing in Law No. 33 year 2006. In addition, we need to know the factors causing the disaster so as to provide the right. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this research is to estimate the factors that can affect the flood disaster so as to reduce losses due to flooding. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At the end of the research is the relationship between rainfall with the depth of the flood, so that the depth of this flood is affected by the intensity of rainfall. In addition, the receding time of a flood is affected by the depth of the flood and the duration of rain. So to reduce the losses due to flooding can be done contigency plan by using data of flood events that in previous years occurred. Because the rain is impossible we can stop, but we can control during the rainy season people who are often affected by floods can alert the floods hit the community.
