Description
Summary:The writing of this Final Project is intended to describe a general description of simulation of rigid body motion in 2-D with a simple programming language. In this modern world, we cannot be separated from technology, both advanced and sophisticated technologies and those that are still standard and simple. Here will be shown how simple programming can be used for the learning process in showing and applying various phenomena and physical principles in everyday life. In general, the physical modeling that will be processed in the program is a physical phenomenon of classical mechanics consisting of free falling motion, rotational motion, moment of inertia, impulses and collisions. For the formulation of the restitution coefficient value used in the program, it has approached the real phenomenon. In the simulation, it will be reviewed how the effect of restitution coefficients on objects against their rebound. With the same and different coefficient variations for each particle, it can be seen that there are differences in the height of the rebound and the energy of the motion of the object. Then for a system with a center of mass that can be shifted can be seen the relationship between total energy and energy of the ball itself.
