Java black bamboo is one of bamboo whose cortex’s color is brown-blackish. Java black bamboo cortex has more fiber, high silica content, and low starch that make it stronger, heat resistant, friction-resistant and water-resistant material compared to bamboo meat. <br /> <br /> From the exploration that has been done, it is known that the use of weaver method can reduce the absorption of moisture, and the use of layering method can protect the inside of the skin and make the outer skin becomes stronger and resistant to external attacks such as water, heat, mold and termites. <br /> <br /> With strength and resistance to water, this material can be applied to bathroom container that ussually have contact with water. Apllication of this material can encourage people to switch their behavior from using plastic container products into natural materials that not damage the environment. The aplication of this product can be use at places that have a naturaal theme such as natural tourism, hotel, and restaurant. Through the development of this bathroom container, it is expected to provide new knowledge about the potential of java black bamboo skin and provide new innovation opportunities in the processing of this material.
