Summary: |
The era of globalisation that triggered the rapid rate of movement of goods between countries requires Indonesia to pay more attention to supporting facilities for the transportation of goods from and to various regions or countries, one of which is port facilities. The port as a facility for connecting ships, which the infrastructure needs development to support loading and unloading ships activity. PT Lamongan Integrated Shorebase (PT LIS) envision this infrastructure requirement as a developing concept. The company choose a location at Tanjung Pakis beach, Kemantren Village, Paciran Subdistrict, Lamongan District as a supply centre for logistics needs in the form of warehousing and container yard. PT Lamongan Integrated Shorebase (PT LIS) as the port operator is a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) and has cooperated with Foreign Companies (Foreign Investment) as well as Domestic Investment to work together to handle the entire range of activities needed by the users of regional services this. Port facility development plan for PT. Lamongan Integrated Shorebase to meet the needs of port services is making the construction process of sea transportation divided into three stages. Short-term development plans (2015 - 2019) are fixated on the construction of container piers, mediumterm (2015 - 2024) on the construction of dry bulk jetties, and long-term (2015-2034) on the development of liquid and multipurpose bulk piers. In this final project, the design of the port layout is accustom to the short-term development of container ports. The writing of this final project includes the planning of land facilities and water facilities in Tanjung Pakis Port, where the determination of these facilities is constructed on consideration of development cost factors, environmental factors, and design failure probability factors, based on the influence of 2D modelling waves using Surface Water Modeling software System (SMS).
|
