Jann Hidajat Tjakraatmadja, MSIE <br /> <br /> ABSTRACT <br /> <br /> The growth of digital era brings revolution for conventional business. To adapt with this digital era, a <br /> <br /> company should implement new management system or strategy. Knowledge management system is a <br /> <br /> solution to solve current problem. One of the objectives of knowledge management is to transform the <br /> <br /> organization to be learning organization. Besides, a key elements of knowledge management are to <br /> <br /> capture, share, and use internal capability in order to maximizing business opportunities and minimizing <br /> <br /> the risk of missed opportunities as stated by Goel, Geeta, and Renu (2010). Then, XYZ Company has <br /> <br /> committed to established knowledge management in 2011. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this research is to find the current challenges faced by the company related to managing <br /> <br /> their knowledge management and recommend the implementation plan. This research used both <br /> <br /> quantitative and qualitative method through questionnaire and interview to look over the problem. The <br /> <br /> questionnaire must be completed by a number of employees at headquarters of XYZ Company in <br /> <br /> Bandung. The result of questionnaire will be tested throughout validity and reliability test using SPSS <br /> <br /> statistic. In addition, the questionnaire refers to Jann Framework that contains a number of variables. <br /> <br /> Those are learning habitat, enabler, human capital, learning facility, and organization discipline as the <br /> <br /> variables of assessment. Thus, this assessment of the variables will come to be the benchmark to <br /> <br /> formulate the implementation plan. Moreover, this research used a number of references such as books, <br /> <br /> journals, and various literature studies. Meanwhile, the interview is done by three managers of XYZ <br /> <br /> company. <br /> <br /> At the same time, the roots of problems come from people, process, and its implementation. The problem <br /> <br /> for people is lack of enthusiasm in knowledge management activities, the problem for process is less <br /> <br /> informality in each knowledge management activities. Meanwhile, the third problem is the <br /> <br /> implementation is lack of learning activity and tools. <br /> <br /> The result of validity and reliability test reveals the questionnaire is valid and reliable as all validity <br /> <br /> score are higher than 0,30 and reliability score (0,97) is higher than 0,70. Meanwhile, the result of <br /> <br /> questionnaire show learning facility’ score reach 3,330 of 5 as maximal point, enabler reaches 3,395, <br /> <br /> human capital reaches 3,506, learning habitat reaches 3,553, and organization discipline reaches 3,686. <br /> <br /> Improvement on wahana.xyz.co.id, reward system, and increasing informal activities will solve learning <br /> <br /> facility problem. Besides, arranging leadership program will solve enabler issue. In addition, to solve <br /> <br /> human capital issues are the company should appreciate and develop employees’ soft skill will. Serve <br /> <br /> scholarship and urge the employees to attend seminar one times in two month are effective way to <br /> <br /> improve learning habitat issue. Then, creating good coordination among employees will solve <br /> <br /> organization discipline issue. <br /> <br /> Keyword: Implementation, Knowledge, Knowledge Management, XYZ Company, and Learning <br /> <br /> Organization.
