This thesis study linear codes over A_(k,q) which is a generalization of R_q and also A_k. The properties of A_(k,q) is studied by observing its relationship with F_q^n by the gray map. Some ways of obtaining the generator of ideals in A_(k,q) is also studied. Linear codes over A_(k,q) which we study is self-dual codes, self-ortogoal codes, cyclic codes, and l-tuple cyclic codes. <br />
