<p align="justify">Countless heritage buildings in Indonesia have been neglected to the ravages of time, deliberate destruction or worse are in the process of being demolished to make way for new development. Many of those neglected sites indeed have the potential to be restored, one way is to add a new function to the heritage building by making the heritage building a part of the new building design. Juxtaposition, the position of being placed close together or side-by-side, is an approach that can be implemented in the new building design in order to restore function of neglected heritage building. The purpose of juxtaposition approach is to show the architectural development between the existence of old and new building, not to restore the atmosphere of the old town. This approach shows the difference in contrast between the new and old building. Juxtaposing takes part in the designing visual of the building which consist the elements of: building form, building layout, building height, window form, material and color of the façade. All these elements will show the difference in the new building when compared with the old building.<p align="justify">
