Summary: | Large-scale industrial development raises environmental problems. The need for

textiles and fashion continues to grow. In recent years various developments and

research have emerged regarding modular textile design in response to

environmental problems. Modular textile designs that have been made at this time

have a variety of physical aspects namely variations in shape, size, material, type

of interlock connection system, structure of the module arrangement, which

affects the durability of the product. This research was conducted to understand

the correlation between physical characteristics and the influence of these

aspects, especially the form of interlock connection on the durability of textile

products using the type of interlocking connection system, and how to apply this

type of interlocking connection to the product so that it can be applied to products

with functions that match durability form of connection and module. Experiments

were carried out by comparing each physical characteristic of the interlocking

connection module by making a sample that represented designs that had been

made previously. The sample is then quantified using the tensile testing test. As a

result, knowledge is obtained about the correlation of physical aspects and the

value of how strong each type of textile interlocking connection is in quantitative

form. The value of durability of the test results obtained then becomes a reference

for the design of textile products that use a durable interlocking connection

system in accordance with the function of the product to be made. |
