Indonesia, as an archipelago country, has a vast seas and more marine biodiversity than other country. Indonesia has a very large marine diversity that could be used for the needs of society. However, there are many people who do not yet recognize about Indonesia’s marine biodiversity due to the lack of supporting facility. The designation of public aquarium in Surabaya is expected to assist the introduction of underwater world in Indonesia. Aquarium of Surabaya is a public facility for education and recreation about marine biodiversity where located in ± 2,4 Ha at Kawasan Kaki Jembatan Suramadu (Suramadu Bridge). This area is strategically located in developing area for central business district and waterfront city of Surabaya. The public aquarium is a place for several main functions, such as recreation, education, and conservation activities and some of other supporting activities, such as commercial, administration, and maintenance. This project consists of one main building with three storeys and one storey supporting building. The concept of Aquarium of Surabaya is answered the project issue and function which provide a public outdoor space as plaza and a connecting area between the aquarium and the shore at the front. The site design allows pedestrian to access this building from any points. The circulation design in this building made continuously.
