Summary:<p align="justify">Javanese culture is one of the many cultures that exist in Indonesia. Yogyakarta is one of the cities in Indonesia, which has a strong tradition of Javanese art and culture. However, many of the youth generation seems to have been swallowed by globalization and not knowing Javanese culture as cultural identity should continue to be preserved. Yogyakarta Cultural Center project is proposed as a place that holds the activity of coaching and development of Javanese culture as cultural preservation activities. Cultural Center project is located in + 32.660 sqm land on North Ringroad Road, Yogyakarta. The scope of the project design is the master plan Cultural Center area with focus on functional aspects of each function and the harmonious integration of each function and main focus on the development of the performance function. The main issues considered vital in the design of the Cultural Center are a cultural image, maximizing the potential of the land , and circulation for the masterplan , and the standard of building elements (acoustics , lighting, and air conditioning) for the building. Javanese traditional architecture principles such as the site axis and site orientation which is located at the center of the land are applied to represent the image of Javanese Culture. The building character represented by a simple building mass, joglo and perisai roof, and local materials which are applied in the Javanese traditional architecture.<p align="justify">
