Utilization of space must be conducted in accordance with the carrying capacity of its environment. Along with the rampant development does not based on land capability, the higher conversion of forests, and the severity of landslides that occur every rainy season encourages the study of the suitability of the use of space based on land capability in the area of Puncak, Bogor. The purpose of this study is to examine the suitability of the use of space based on land capability in the area of Puncak, Bogor. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted by collecting primary data in the form of observation and secondary data about physical-environmental and statistical data region. Based on the analysis, Puncak is dominated by land capability class IV about 35.138% of the total Puncak, Bogor. Class IV is the land that needs careful management and more difficult conservation if the land is used. Based on the ability of this land, it can be concluded that the use of space mismatch Puncak is 15% which is dominated by the use of land for settlement. While mismatches spatial pattern plan is 13%, which is also dominated by the plan pattern of settlement space. Reviewing the results of the three percentages, we can conclude that spatial plan of Bogor Regency especially Puncak, in particular has not fully consider with land capability. Thus, it is urgent to revise the spatial plan Bogor Regency, especially Puncak area; spatial policy renewal like Metropolitan Jakarta Plans (Jabodetabek-PUNJUR) to better integrate development in the region; and the urgency of procurement of space utilization control of a technical tools in the form of detailed spatial plans (RDTR) and zoning regulations (PZ) is very high.
